Only recently, the WBFSH rankings of the most successful breeding associations worldwide in the Olympic disciplines were published, in which the Association of Breeders of the Holsteiner Horse took second place in eventing and third place in showjumping. In addition, Ocke Riewerts, breeder of the Olympic champion London by Landos-Quinar, took in first place in the breeder ranking of the most successful eventing horses.
Now, with the Sire ranking, the stallions with the highest hereditary performance are also highlighted. And again two Holsteiners are among the top three in jumping and eventing: the Caretino-Lavall I son Casall (Wilfried Thomann, Drelsdorf), line 890, is listed as third best in the jumping stallion ranking. Last year he took fifth position. Only Chacco-Blue (Meckl.) and Diamant de Semilly (SF) collected more points in the past season. With Cardento by Capitol I-Lord (Reimer Witt, Wellinghusen), line 741, another Holsteiner placed fifth.
In the ranking of the most successful sires of eventing horses, the first-placed Jaguar Mail (SF) is followed by the Holsteiner Verband stallion Diarado by Diamant de Semilly-Corrado I (Klaus Thingholm Kristensen, Ulstrup), line 318D2. The former Holstein champion stallion had already held the silver position in 2020. Contendro I by Contender-Reichsgraf (Manfred Birchler, Bilten), line 104A, is fifth, Landos by Lord-Calypso I (Heiko Büttner, Schafstedt), line 776, seventh place.
