On Sunday, June 11, 2023, the Holsteiner Horse Days in Elmshorn will once again provide a worthy setting for the Verband Mare Show. Here, starting at 9:00 am, one dressage and one jumping Champion Mare will be selected from those who have been able to recommend themselves at the mare inspections in the breeding districts.
"The mare crop has presented itself as genetically diverse in the entries," says Breeding Director Stephan Haarhoff. "Both the proven sires and, fortunately, a large number of younger stallions are sending interesting daughters to the Verband mare show." There is something new at the Show of the Best in Elmshorn: for the first time, four-year-old mares (without foals at foot) can also compete for the title of champion mare. 31 mares are registered and will present themselves on five rings starting at 9:00 am before the final ring starts at approximately 12:00 pm.
Stephan Haarhoff, Hanno Köhncke and Carsten Lauck will form the award committee, Dr. André Hahn will be responsible for reporting.

Spectators are of course cordially invited and will receive a catalog with the registered mares free of charge at the Holsteiner Shop on site. Admission is free of charge.
