Sports test in Verden: Holsteiner wins in both age groups

A sport test for stallions ended today, Saturday, in Verden. Holsteins took the lead in both the four and five-year-old classes. "Judging horses like this is fun," commented Kassandra Mohr, who was a member of the HLP judging committee in Verden for the third time. The five-year-old Heat by Halifax van het Kluizebos-Connor mastered the tasks set with playful ease. He was awarded an even 9.0 not only for his canter, but also for his jumping ability and overall impression. The judges even awarded the dark bay stallion's rideability a 9.5, which together with an 8.7 for manner resulted in the best weighted final score of 9.03. Heat was bred by Matthias Wree (Hartenholm) and is owned by Fromberger Stables in Boveau.

In the four-year-old class, the dark bay Holstein stallion Fien Jung lived up to his name. "A very sporty stallion, always very committed, very motivated and always with the rider, always immediately on the aids," commented Mohr. This earned him the highest rideability score - 9.2 - and ultimately also the highest weighted final score of 8.65 in this age group (canter 8.4, ability and manner 8.5 each, overall impression 8.8). Fien Jung is a son of For Carsten and was bred by Bärbel Gebers from Uetersen out of a dam by Com Air I.
