Team decision in Milan: gold for Zuccero, silver for Cinca

This afternoon, the team medals were ridden in Milan. And it could hardly have been more exciting. In the end, two horses from the land between the seas won a medal: Zuccero by Zirocco Blue-Caretino (Hanno Köhncke, Badendorf) and Rolf-Göran Bengtsson confirmed the victory for the strong Swedish team with a spotless clear round as the final rider. And Cinca by Casall-Carthago (Peter Wylde, Belgium) with Michael Duffy stayed clear in both rounds of the Nations Cup and thus made a decisive contribution to the silver medal for the Irish.
Just missing out on the medal places, the Germans finished in a thankless fourth place. Jana Wargers and her proven Limbridge by Limbus-Cambridge (Ralf Pawlowski, Heidenheim) remained without faults in the first round. Unfortunately, the German team lacked the last bit of luck for a better placing. In the Spanish team, Tornado VS by Toulon-Contender (Vanessa Schöckemöhle, Steinfeld) and Amado Traporte delivered two clear rounds, which helped the team to fifth place.

On Sunday it continues with the single decision. Here Cinca and Michael Duffy (2.18 points) are on course for third place. Also in the top 20 are Tornado VS and Amado Traporte (8.11 points/12th place), Zuccero and Rolf-Göran Bengtsson (8.81 points/13th place) as well as Long John Silver by Lasino-Corrado (Peter Burmester, Wangels) and the Dutch rider Jur Vrieling (9.62 points/19th place).
