Holsteiner champion stallions dominate short test (stallion performance test)

A pilot project to shorten the performance test for stallions took place in Verden on April 8 and 9. During the pilot phase, the results of this test will be equal to the 14-days test. Five Holsteiner stallions or stallions approved in Holstein participated successfully.
The two winning stallions Esmeraldo by Emerald van het Ruytershof-Caretino (Friedrich Meyer, Nottfeld) and Vigado by Vigo d' Arsouilles-Quo Vados I (Wittpferdezucht Gbr, Wellinghusen) were particularly outstanding.
With the highest score of the day, 8.93, Esmeraldo took a commanding lead in the three-year-old class. Four times he received a score of 9.0 or better - namely for jumping (9.3) and his willingness to perform (9.3) as well as rideability (9.2) and canter (9.0).
Vigado, who is one year older, received the best scores in the four-year-old classification. He finished his test with a weighted jumping final score of 8.66. In particular, his willingness to perform (9.3) and his jumping (9.2) were rated very highly.

The individual scores of all participants can be found here.
