Holsteiner Results: Million Dollar and Sophie Hinners convince at their debut

Last weekend, a number of competitions took place all over the world and Holsteiner horses made a name for themselves on various continents. First and foremost the Verband stallion Million Dollar by Plot Blue, who has recently found a new rider in Sophie Hinners. The pair seems to have searched and found each other - at least their first common performances at the CSI** in Kronenberg (NED) give reason to hope so. With three clear rounds, the new pair delivered a great debut, which was rewarded with two placings over 1.45 metres. In the Grand Prix Million Dollar and Sophie Hinners took second place. "I am totally thrilled with our first competition. Actually, it was not planned at all that we would compete in the Grand Prix. Rather, I wanted to approach it slowly. But already on the first day Million Dollar gave me a great feeling, so that we decided to ride a little harder every day. The overview and ambition of this stallion is really special," a satisfied Sophie Hinners said the day after the show.

A CSIO***** took place in Abu Dhabi. There, too, a number of Holsteiners were successful at the start. For example Di Caprio by Diarado-Cassini I (Carsten Harms, Rastede), Stamm 1752, who took third place in the Nations Cup over 1.60 metres with Donald Whitaker in the saddle. Long John Silver by Lasino-Corrado I (Peter Burmester, Buchholz) also placed in Abu Dhabi. Ridden by Jur Vrieling (NED), the Holsteiner finished eighth in the Grand Prix (1.60 metres).

In Oliva, Spain, the Casall-Quinar son (Klaus Thiedemann, Oesterwurth) Casper vd Rode Poelhoeve, Stamm 2543, under the Italian Giulia Martinengo Marquet won a 1.45 metre competition and the licensed stallion Crime is Collin by Cornet Obolensky-Acobat II (Sascha Piotrowski, Senden) placed in all three competitions of the Youngster Tour in Kronenberg, Netherlands, under Katharina von Essen.
