Elite riding horse auction, stallion grading under saddle, short ability assessment test and stallion sport test – these are the highlights scheduled for the Holsteiner Autumn Event. On 27 and 28 October, the Elmshorn Fritz-Thiedemann-indoor arena is going to be packed with horse experts, breeders, trainers, riders, exhibitors, and auction clients from all over the world – and, under the motto “Holstein meets Italy”, you are very welcome to join. Admission is free.
“In particular the run for the stallion performance tests has been enormous, so we had to keep a waitlist and eventually, the number of admissible participants was raised by the German Equestrian Federation“, breeding director Stephan Haarhoff is happy about the positive feedback on the second instalment of the Holsteiner autumn event. 27 October starts with the training of the stallions entered for sport testing at 8:00am, followed by the presentation on hard surface of the stallions to undergo grading at 11:00am. The free jumping of the three-year-old participants in the short ability assessment kicks off at 12:00 noon, and the course jumping of the four- and five-year-old sport test stallions is scheduled from about 3:00pm. In case you still haven’t decided on one or several favourites in the elite riding horse auction yet, the final presentation on Friday evening at 5:30 will provide you with the opportunity to have a another good look at the lots. The Holsteiner night with the champion awards wraps up the Friday from about 7:30pm.
On 28 October, the focus is on the stallions’ performance under the test riders, with the three-year-olds starting at 8:00am, followed by the four-year-olds in the Fritz-Thiedemann-indoor arena from 11:30am and the five-year-olds at 2:00pm. From 5:00pm, the stallions up for grading are walked in groups, with the licensing status announced directly afterwards. At 6:00pm, auctioneer Hendrik Schulze-Rückamp takes to the desk for the hybrid elite auction sale. The After Auction Party held in the foyer of the Fritz-Thiedemann-indoor arena rounds off the Holsteiner Autumn Event, this year dedicated to Mediterranean ambience and Italian music and catering.
