Day two of the Bundeschampionats in Warendorf was opened victoriously by a Holsteiner gray horse that already knows the show jumping arena on the Burandtwiese very well: We are talking about Munin by Mylord Carthago-Chin Chin (Michael Eitel, Freihung), who won silver in the seven-year-old championships last year with Richard Vogel.
Now, the combination returned to Warendorf and jumped to first place in the entry test for eight-year-olds and older. With Fina VA by Quintago-Casall (Manfred von Allwörden) and Diarmuid Howley in the saddle in third place and Dinar by Diamant de Semilly-Contender (Dr. Klaus Gumpert) and Lara Weber in fourth place, two more horses with Holsteiner equine passport were represented in the top five. In addition, Holsteiner Verband stallion Crack by Cornet Obolensky-Candillo (Campos Cria de Caballos de Deporte) finished 13th with Richard Vogel, while Carlton SR by Cascadello I-Contender (Stefan Ratajczak) and Pheline Ahlmann were 14th.
Seven-year-old show jumpers - Vogel again top for Holstein
Also in the classification of the seven-year-olds, Richard Vogel had a fast partner at his side in the first qualification with Clou by Casall-Lux (Nicole Struve), with whom he held the lead for a long time. In the final standings, the two finished in an excellent second place. Fifth place went to Coquetto by Cornet Obolensky-Casquetto (Witt Pferdezucht GbR) and Hannes Ahlmann. Three highly talented Amazons piloted their Holsteiner to eighth, ninth and tenth place: Sophie Hinners and Viva las Vegas W by Vagabond de la Pomme-Cancara (Matthias Wittke) finished eighth, followed by Vancouver by Vagabond de la Pomme-Cartani (Michael Winstel) and Paula de Boer. Tenth was Zoe Blue BTH by Zirocco Blue-Colman (Hans-Peter Petersen) with Katrin Eckermann.
