Opening in Milan: Zuccero best Holsteiner in seventh place in the time jumping competition

Today, Wednesday, was the start of the European Show Jumping Championships. 14 horses with a Holsteiner pedigree competed in this sporting season highlight in Italy. Among them was the Holsteiner Verband stallion Zuccero by Zirocco Blue-Caretino bred by Hanno Köhncke from Badendorf. With Rolf-Göran Bengtsson in the saddle, the gray horse remained without a drop and was also fast, so that the pair finished the test in an excellent seventh place and made a very good contribution to the Swedish team's leading position.

Long John Silver by Lasino-Corrado I (Peter Burmester, Wangels), who is competing for the Dutch team, also made it into the placing list with Jur Vrieling in the saddle. Cinca by Casall-Carthago (Peter Wylde, Belgium) under Michael Duffy (IRL) and Limbridge by Lasino-Cambridge (Ralf Pawlowski, Heidenheim) under Jana Wargers (GER) were also placed.

On Thursday at 1:15 p.m. the second qualification for the individual and team classification will start. Currently, the Swedes (1.51 points) are in the lead ahead of the Swiss (1.92) and the Germans (5.31).
