4th Advent with the Holsteiner Verband: Theme evening modern reproduction techniques...

Good news for all those who missed the Holsteiner Verband's interactive information event on modern reproduction techniques at the beginning of December, or who simply want to watch the lectures and discussion again: On the fourth Advent, 19 December, ClipMyHorse.tv will broadcast a recording of the event at 2.00 p.m.

The interest in the topics ET, OPU and ICSI, which shape the current discourse on modern reproduction techniques in horse breeding, is unbroken: "About 400 people watched online in the livestream," reports Norbert Boley, Managing Director of the Holsteiner Verband Hengsthaltungs GmbH. "At the beginning of the year 2022, it is to be discussed within the breeding districts how the Holsteiner breeders face the techniques and, if necessary, an ethical guideline will be worked out," Boley continues. Therefore, the information evening will be broadcast again next Sunday via ClipMyHorse.TV and will be available afterwards on the YouTube channel of the Holsteiner Verband. And it is worth tuning in: Jannie Spanner from VetEmbryo in Denmark and Michaela Kölling from Vet Art in Dägeling have been won as speakers. They explain how the techniques work, what advantages and disadvantages they have and what costs can be expected. Dr. Christiane Müller is the FN Animal Welfare Officer and will emphasise the ethical aspects of the use of modern reproduction techniques. The invitation to the panel discussion was accepted by Neel Schoof (Deputy Breeding Director of the Trakehner Verband), Henrik Klatte (Zuchthof Klatte), Prof. Dr. Dr. hc mult. Ernst Kalm (former professor and head of the Institute for Animal Breeding at the Faculty of Agricultural and Nutritional Sciences in Kiel) and Olaf Rörden (Hof am Sylvert).

Although no more questions can be asked when watching the recording, moderator Christoph Rowold has already asked many questions from viewers that evening and passed them on to the speakers. In addition, the video was subtitled in English - and in the English-language passages in German - so that interested people from all over the world can participate.
